August 6th will go down as one of the best evenings of all summer nights. The weather not only cooperated, but all the stars were aligned for a perfect concert with Bonnie Raitt and James Taylor.
I had jumped at the opportunity the very moment I heard that James was going to take on Fenway Park. I think it was his dream, being such an avid Red Sox and Boston fan. 35,000 people came out to hear him sing his tunes and he did not miss a beat. His adorable charm and wit came through in his amazingly authentic, honest personality.
He delighted crowds young and old...even my girls had a good time. He’s not only one of my favorite artists, but also my youngest daughter’s favorites since she was little. It helped that we had seats in the 11th row, but everything about the songs he chose, from "Wandering" to "Angels of Fenway" were rocking the crowd. My most favorite moment was when his son, Henry, and his wife, Kim, joined him on stage. It was a very sweet time, they too are so talented.
Now fingers crossed we can get him back at Fenway next summer!
Thanks James for an amazing night!!
