The Sale Shop is OPEN!
You can find last season's favorites, Sara's one-of-a-kinds, samples, and imperfect pieces at special prices in our Sale Shop, located in Boston's South End in the area known as SoWa. "SoWa" is short for south of Washington Street, an area known by Bostonians for its artistic nature. In this neighborhood, you'll find various art galleries alongside shops with down-to-earth shopkeepers selling eclectic wares in the categories of home, fashion, and gifts. It's an especially lovely place to spend your Sundays, since visitors from all over the state gather here to eat from various food trucks, enjoy the beer garden, and shop the SoWa Market which features local produce and other edible creations as well as owner-made goods. We'd like to think our new boutique (accurately and affectionately called "The Sale Shop") is an added bonus to the neighborhood's vivaciousness.
The busiest day of business for our newest shop is definitely Sunday!

Located at 460-A Harrison Avenue alongside a pedestrian street called Thayer Street, our Sale Shop sits at the walkthrough junction of the SoWa Market parking lot and Thayer Street's famous art galleries. Three of its four walls are made of glass, giving it a very hip vibe and making it irresistible to passersby. Who could keep walking with all of the goodies you can see from outside?
These outfits are only available in our SoWa Sale Shop, since they're past-season and now on major sale. If you like this outfit, give Juliette a call! 857-315-5319.
Hanging out in the foyer; it's pretty comfy!
We met up with Juliette, the boutique manager who was busy telling visitors to take an additional 50% off the lowest marked price on all apparel (excluding red dot items; they're already as low as we can go!) I spied some pieces from our current collection and realized they are samples from our seamstresses who work on Sara's designs just a mile down the road at our headquarters. If you're a size small, you may just luck out with these samples... Are you already planning your visit?
A warm welcome from Juliette!
Juliette makes sure the apparel is merchandised beautifully to help you find the perfect outfit!
The atmosphere was very relaxed and quiet, since we visited midday on Thursday. Juliette told us Sunday is unsurprisingly her busiest day of the week, but customers who visit during the week are relieved to find a parking lot for their relaxed visits. Rosemary and I decided to stroll down Thayer Street and learn about some of our new neighbors. Bead + Fiber was founded by a passionate Charlestown woman (who happened to be a past neighbor of mine!) and has been a staple of the neighborhood since 2008. At Bead + Fiber, sewers, knitters, and crafters can find a wide selection of materials for their projects and sign up for classes. They offer classes almost every day! We love their experiential approach to bricks and mortar shopping.
Sunday is funday at SoWa, but these lively businesses are open all week!
I couldn't help by stop into Howard Yezerski Gallery, the next business in the lineup behind Sara Campbell. I majored in fine art in college, so I used to spend quite a lot of time at the galleries on Thayer Street, and I dreamed of one day being represented by this gallery. I'm very drawn to their contemporary taste. Since college, I've more or less traded my paintbrushes for a camera (not forever!) but that doesn't mean I can't admire their current exhibition. We got to see Catherine Kehoe's and Keith Maddy's work just before the exhibit closed. As we continued our stroll, we saw other interesting businesses like interior design showrooms and vintage shops.
We were stopped in our tracks by a gorgeous wall filled with chalk. What a fitting place for a work of public art!
Rosemary looks lovely against this lively backdrop! If you like this outfit, give Juliette a call: 857-315-5319.
We scoured the brick walkway for an abandoned piece of chalk; we couldn't resist leaving our mark.
On the first Friday of every month, our Sale Shop is open late to accommodate guests from SoWa First Fridays, an event hosted by the Art & Deign District where visitors can visit artist's studios and enjoy evening browsing of the Thayer Street gallery exhibitions. As you already learned, we're very busy on Sundays due to the market. Plan your visit to 460 Harrison Avenue, Suite A-5 and enjoy the treats that await you in our Sale Shop! For questions, give Juliette a ring at 857-315-5319. Enjoy the rest of our photos and leave a comment at the end of our post with your SoWa experience!
